Set yourself apart as you pursue the next steps in your career.

In Bethel’s B.S. in Business Management program, you won’t just earn a degree—you’ll have the chance to earn multiple industry-recognized certifications while completing the program. The certifications, which are embedded into the program’s coursework, are a key way to get ahead in the job market and show employers you’re proactively working to gain skills.

What are industry-recognized certifications?

Industry or professional certifications are credentials awarded by certification bodies—typically nonprofit organizations, professional associations, industry/trade organizations, or businesses. Certification examples include:

  • HubSpot Academy certifications
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Content Marketing
  • Email Marketing
  • PMI Project Management Ready
  • Certified Ethics Associate (CEA)
  • Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer
  • Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification
  • Tableau’s Desktop Specialist Certification

How do you earn them?

After gaining skills and knowledge in your Bethel courses, you’ll take an exam to earn a certification. Many certifications offer practice tests along the way for you to assess your knowledge. And most allow one free retake to pass the exam. Bethel has negotiated reduced pricing for the certifications with each certification provider. Certifications are earned for a limited amount of time and may be renewed through a recertification process.

Though the ability to earn these certifications has become an important part of the B.S. in Business Management program, they are not tied to program completion.

How will industry-recognized certificates help you and your career?

You’ll gain skills you can use throughout your career. And as you earn certifications, you can add them to your LinkedIn page and resume. That often leads to new potential jobs and opportunities because LinkedIn provides leads based on the information and certifications included in profiles.
