The B.S. in Nursing, offered through the College of Adult & Professional Studies (CAPS), adds relevant knowledge to the basic preparation of nurses, respecting their previous education and experience. It continues building and refining professional thinking and practice. The application of Christian faith is integrated with course work and clinical experience.
Designed for in-career nurses
The program fits a working adult's priorities without sacrificing the learning experience. It has experienced a 97% completion rate since its inception. The faculty are not only committed to teaching nursing, but to seeing their students experience success.
- Earn 36 semester credits in the Nursing major
- Course work can be completed in approximately 19-20 months
- Take one course at a time
- Meet one evening a week from 6 to 10 p.m.
- Be part of a cohort—a supportive group of adults who progress through the entire program together
- Register once for the entire major
- Pick a convenient date—scheduled starts include two in the fall and one in the spring of each year

Accreditation
All nursing programs at Bethel are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Credits Needed for Graduation
Courses in the nursing major, elective, and general education courses constitute the total Bethel academic program for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A minimum of 122 semester credits is required for graduation, including:

Combined Option: Earn both a bachelor's and master's degree in nursing
A combined option that offers both a bachelor of science degree and a master of arts degree in Nursing is available for Licensed Registered Nurses with a bachelor's degree in another major. This program can be completed in 3 years for the Nursing Education Concentration and in 4 years of part-time study for the Nursing and Health Care Leadership or Nursing and Christian Health Ministry Concentrations. Students take three courses in the College of Adult & Professional Studies' degree completion program in nursing and after meeting all undergraduate degree requirements, begin the master's course sequence. Both degrees are awarded after completing requirements for both programs.
