College of Adult & Professional Studies
We want to ensure a smooth transition into Bethel University. You will receive information about your specific program, including policies and procedures, at the beginning of your program. But for now, there are a few steps you need to take care of.
To get started as a Bethel learner, please set up your Bethel Computer Account if you have not already done so. You must also be officially accepted to complete the steps below. If you have not received an acceptance letter, please contact your enrollment counselor at 651.635.8000, or 800.255.8706, ext. 8000.
Learn more about Blink, the Bethel portal: Blink Tour (3:00)
1. Log in to Blink. You are now on the Home tab. Note that the rectangles at the top (like file tabs) are called "tabs" and the rectangles in the rest of the page are called "channels." You may see these terms used in reference to Blink instructions.
2. Scroll down the page (still on the Home tab) to the BU - Bethel Alert channel. Click on the link called www.bethel.edu/bethel-alert. Submit your contact info so you can be contacted by phone in the event of a weather or other emergency.
Log in to Blink.
Find the Campus Services tab > Parking "channel" (on the left) >
CAPS/GS Student Parking Info > Forms and Information > Vehicle
Registration Information.
Click on "Click Here to apply for a parking permit" and fill out the necessary information. Click "Submit."
Please note: Your parking permit will be set to the home address that you have registered with the University. Bethel does not require permits to park on campus during the summer months--only September 1 through May 31. Permits requested during the summer will be issued/mailed starting in late August. Please note that you will not receive a separate notification of approval.
Please direct inquiries related to parking permits directly to the Office of Security & Safety by emailing security@bethel.edu or calling 651-638-6055.

If your class will be meeting off campus, please note the links to the documents in the Maps and Directions channel (still on the Campus Services tab). Print off the one that pertains to you. It contains directions, parking information, amenities at the site, and other helpful information. If your class meets on campus, ignore this step. But you may want to familiarize yourself with the Bethel campus. Bethel Campus Map

An ID card is required (1) at the security entrance after dark and (2) to check out books at the library. For additional information regarding ID card uses, click here. There are different ID cards for face-to-face cohorts and online cohorts.
Face-to-Face Cohorts
Depending what program you're in, you will have your ID photo taken during a Bethel Orientation, a Program Introduction, or your first night of class (usually whichever one comes first). However, if you are unable to attend this session, there are a couple of options for you to get your photo ID taken:
Online Cohorts
You'll likely receive an e-mail the day of or the day after your first class with a temporary library card. A no-photo ID will be ordered and mailed to your home address.
Important policies and procedures are contained within the College of Adult & Professional Studies Catalog and Student Handbook. You are responsible for knowing this vital information.
