Michelle Brask
Enrollment Counselor
Degree:
B.A. in Counseling, Metro State University; M.A. in Organizational Leadership, Bethel University; Postsecondary Teaching Certificate, Bethel University; CEAP (Certified Employee Assistance Professional)
Home state:
Raised in Montana. Minnesota has been home for over 30 years
My favorite thing about Bethel University:
Three simple words on Bethel’s website are rich in meaning – Begin, Belong, Become. I appreciate that students, staff and faculty have the opportunity to be connected and lives transformed through learning and community. Oh, yes, the fun and laughter here is wonderful!
My favorite things about life and the Twin Cities:
My favorite things about life are my family, faith, friends and fun (quilting, gardening, canoeing, laughing – are all part of my fun). I love learning – about people, places, and ideas. This makes working at Bethel University especially appealing.
The diversity of the Twin Cities is amazing! I love the people, the cultures, foods, music and theater, lakes, the seasons (except the one named “road construction”) and, of course, the many opportunities to learn new things.
Before working at Bethel:
Most recently, I worked as a program coordinator for an EAP (employee assistance program) and taught communication and life skills in a local prison. I teach Followership as an adjunct faculty in the MAOL program here at Bethel.
I believe nothing is wasted in God’s economy. It is fascinating and rewarding to see how education and work experience and interests are woven together to make my “abundant” life.
